朋友变同事, 生活上也可能抨撞出有趣的火花
1)到底是他太柔弱,还是我太粗暴?
无意间,她很容易被我手上的水洒到,头发打到。
这时候,她会很介意的“哎呀!你喷到我了/你头发打到我了 etc"
她常说她妈妈叫她少参我,她要离我十尺。
OS:
我真的不知道你是怎么跟你妈说我,我对自己的品德的评价还是有信心的。
我真的还蛮希望你会离我十尺,那样我就不会不小心碰到你了。
有一次吃烧烤火锅,
烧着的锡纸一碰到水分,油就弹上来了。当时坐在她身旁的我,成为锡纸的代罪羔羊!
她一直发出"OUCH,SSS!" 的声音,说我弹到了她。
好!为了避免弹到她,我坐对面!
之后她又被弹到!自己闪一边.。
OS: 不会连这个也怪罪我吧? *.*
2) 有一次约了vp 在cable car等,我们快迟到,只好快步走,我走跟前,她在后头。
我回头看她在不在时,她竟然给了我个假笑,说:‘走啦,走快点啦!“ (假笑)自己却原封不动,好像我做错什么了。 我很无奈呀,,,是觉得我走太快的话,就说一下嘛。。需要用那种嘴脸示人吗?只是关心一下她跟上吗,换一个讽刺。 心冷又愣了一下!
3)有一次去gym,她带了吹风筒一起用,我先用,用完了就放着。
待她要用的时候,竟然没FUNCTION 了!! 我倒吸一口气!
她的脸立刻变! “你做过什么来?!“很恐怖~~~
我急忙把吹风筒插曲另一个插头,WORKED!
是插头的问题。
不问青红皂白就觉得是我弄坏,不觉得太对我不公平了吗?
我永远忘不了你那怨恨的眼神。
4)有一次洗衣,回来时她的某些衣物不翼而飞,也怨恨地觉得是我健忘,搞丢了。
还讽刺地说:”真佩服你!”
依我印象,
当时是她把衣物放入烘干机的,
我在一旁,还问了:“还有吗?“她说没呀。。
衣服一起洗的,要责怪也不能只怪我啊!
我都没怪你,你竟然先声夺人?!
衣物找回来就行了,有必要那么气吗??
喜欢遇到不幸的事就责怪人的人,真是要为她们可怜,因为她们没有承受的能力。
5)中学同学及朋友来访,
中学同学,她也认识。
本来她不要去,可是我想,既然是一场同学,有朋自远方来,不亦乐乎嘛!
拉了她去。
大伙儿聚在一起后,
bowling 太多人等,
就去Archery
她本来说不要玩,跟大伙儿说:“你们玩啦“
之后还是一起玩。
还以为她蛮enjoy这个活动的。
之后,
大伙儿去bowling centre 继续打保龄球。
既然只是一个game,
又没有在这打过保龄球,
就参与了。
玩了几轮后,
她臭着脸跟我说她累了,
好,那就告诉大伙儿门太夜了,我们要离开了。
本以为她会蛮enjoy this outing,
她忽然严肃地说:“下次不要再带我了,我是认真的,我讨厌就是这两个运动。各种球类,就不是这两种!!“
一边搓揉她因保龄球手的磨伤 (加旧患)。
令我更内疚,见朋友害她伤身伤神。
之后的今天, 在公司,她又透漏了我不应该带她见我的朋友。
还说我打保龄球的姿势,令她大吃一惊,不能接受,不敢相信自己认识我。
我听到真的很莫名其妙,莫名其妙到级点!
打保龄球的姿势是以前有个coach教我的。
就算是错的,有令到她那么讨厌吗?
休闲活动不是快乐开心就好吗?
是不是她不喜欢这活动,看我什么都不顺眼?
无奈也。。。。。。。
我问她:“我带你去见朋友,我得到什么?“
好心带她去见不同的人,有那么难适应吗?有那么悲惨吗?
我真是搞不懂。。。

朋友变同事 #1 工作篇
朋友变同事或室友,运气不好的话,是一种挑战。
4)有一次,是第一次她那么毫无压抑的说了一句不像你会说的话。

基于彼此的一些沟通错误, 她少LABEL了一个瓶子。
CONDUCT 到一半,我发现错误了。
就告诉她,
她大发雷霆,
说我刚才说错,
害她写错。
我不想跟她争论谁对谁错。
请VP 协助我们拿不够的物品。
她还很气,说了一句:“顶!“
我真的是当下吓倒!惊讶!!
外表冷静的她,竟然那么在意这点小事?

1) 一天,我忘了ID 卡留在平时的运动包,那天没要运动,没带运动包去上班。
快要迟到的我们,她先去公司勒!我回房找IDcard。 发现我的room key 也连同ID card 在运动包里。 飞奔追着她借room key。事后,我一进公司,看到了她凶神恶煞的眼神!!
那眼神的原因,我不明? 随后,见她进LAB , 就进去看什么可以帮忙。
我先开了冷气机,引来一句:‘为什么开?等下你又忘记关,每次都这样!“

傍晚,算MICROB COUNT 时,我正为当天做的LAB TEST 画格子(table)以便下次可以方便记录。她却忽然问:“为什么你没有帮我算?“
OS: WALIAO! 何而蒙失调吗?我在画格子也,我不在干活,难道在睡觉?!

办完了不用说我都会帮你忙嘛,何况算MICROB COUNT 又不是多难的事? 无奈ing...
我回了:“为什么你一直说我没画格子,没帮忙算 MICROB COUNT?" 隐约听见她说:“因为你懒惰!“ 基于小声兼没意义,我没多加理会了。
2) 有一次,从厕所回来,看到她在LAB,觉得刚才一起做LAB 时已经收拾到7788 了,她一个人也可以完成剩下的手尾,我进去也是多余,于是坐在自个儿的座位干别的活。她忽然说:“我现在很PEK CEK 啊!“我看事势不对,就进LAB问为什么PEK CEK?
(她说过她是STRAIGHT FORWARD 的人,有什么就直接说) 我觉得她气我没帮忙,就问她为什么PEK CEK? 她拒绝回答!如果是要埋怨我没帮忙,大可直接说,我就会来了。 我也不是因为要偷懒,而是觉得放东西进冰箱的小事,一个人办就好了呀!好!你说PEK CEK 又不说原因,我就回去座位。之后她拿着两罐我刚用来TRANSFER AGAR的 BOTTLES 说:“为什么你用了又不洗?“ 噢噢噢。。。 我刚才上厕所前放在 sink 的,一时忘了洗。
可是这种东西有分你我的吗?反正是共用的,不是看到就可以顺手洗一下? 如果要那般计较的话,我“帮你”洗了无数次,我也不觉得那有什么那么难,是什么苦差?

3)做LAB 的时候,我有时想请问 N 或 VP 要不要CONDUCT,
不是我要偷懒,逃避责任,而是我想逃离和你做LAB 的压迫感。 和你CONDUCT 时,就像比赛,好像要让我感觉我很慢。
你常说我会弄翻东西,搞砸你的PROJECT,你何尝没出过错?
当小事情一发生,你就会斥责加批评的语气,不如想想补救方法比较好吧!
你出错的时候,我没有斥责你,因为我相信你一定会有办法纠正的,我也会协助。
弄翻了,就想纠正的方法吧!
为什么要用责怪语气让人难受呢?所以很自然的,对于和你一起CONDUCT, 我有一定的恐惧。

不过当我联想起昨天发生的事后,惊叹真是日有所思,夜有所梦啊!
个人蛮厌恶搞小动作,讲悄悄话的人,
我承认我当然有做过类似行为,不过,也尽量避免了。
就是有个朋友,让我觉得他某种举动让我觉得不很舒服。
举例一,
你买了一样东西,
苍蝇就告诉第二个人说你买的东西 不好看,不好用 etc.
而且还故意让你听到。
这是太诚实,太直爽 还是故意中伤?
让你觉得你的选择是错误的,让你难堪?
举例二,当他觉得他得益了,就偷偷和最熟/最信任的朋友说,殊不知那朋友说漏了嘴,
他就觉得"怎么说了出来呢?"
可是个人觉得那些沾沾自喜的话,
说和不说没差.
想问你,是在真心替自己高兴,看到别人必须做更多而暗爽吗?
有必要那么浅吗?
举例三,苍蝇也是位 ATTENTION SEEKER,
喜欢称赞,喜欢重视.
我当然知道称赞和重视是每个人都需要的.
可是当 based on a same 物品,他拥有,你又拥有的话.
如果别人只称赞你的物品,
他如果想起别人没同样地称赞他的物品,
苍蝇会有不平衡感噢!
然后,
质问别人为什么上次没称赞他呀?
(当然是用开玩笑的语气)可是我知道他内心是渴望attention 的小孩.
或许我不应该那么在意他的一举一动,
或许我不应该那么care他爱在背后中伤 (有心或无意)
或许我在这里帮他反省人格的当儿,
他却一秒也没有反思过他的行为,
一点也不觉得有什么不妥.
或许我不该在意这些苍蝇小事,
反正毕业了,回想,
也是种生活趣味.

Part time jobs
I have been taking up part time jobs, on and off for the past 4 years (only during holidays). From telecommunication projects, milk products, beauty products to shampoo.
Some of the companies name our job position as brand consultant, brand ambassador, trial specialist, but all these fancy names actually meant "promoter".
Reason I've been doing these is to learn more in communicating & dealing with people outside, to spend my free time and of course, to earn some pocket money.
There are many students or young people like me are taking up part time jobs as a promoter.
However,it requires certain characteristics from one to perform well in this job.
You have to be physically and mentally fit so that you can stay throughout the 8 hours of standing and approaching and talking.
8 hours of standing can be suffering for some of the people whose feet are not strong enough. You may feel back pain and swollen feet if you are not used to standing for that long.
Next, you have to be mentally fit in terms of dealing with customers, your own agency, clients (company of the product u're promoting), peers, and the staffs (supermarket/hypermarket/malls).
As a promoter, one may face stress from all these parties.
I will start with
CUSTOMERS > Have u heard of a phrase " Customers are always right" ?
In this job, you have to bear this in mind even though you may not agree to it.
You have to pretend to be sorry even if you think you are absolutely correct.
I'm not saying all the customers are nasty, but sometimes you may encounter customers who are ignorant to your speech, purposely ignoring you, as a human being who are trying to communicate to them. It may not be a pleasant experience if somebody you are trying to interact with refused to even look at you/ avoid you.
I understand that sometimes when we shop, we do not like to be disturbed by others but to browse products silently, on our own, as I'm also a customer myself when I'm not working.
Anyway, you must understand that it is part of our job to communicate product information to you.
It's not our fault that we are standing there, we are not in the mall to ruin your day!
All we wish is to perform our task, communicate with you, perhaps you could gain some of the product knowledge from us?~
I'm not sure about other promoters, but I'm not one who forces customers to buy the products I'm promoting as I understand it's customer's own purchasing decision.
I have done my job explaining, you may decide yourself to try or not to try the product.
That is all, I would not be upset if you do not buy after I have conveyed messages to you.
All I want is that you could L-I-S-T-E-N and maybe some feedback or a "thank you"/
We may have sales targets to achieve, but what really makes our day is sincere feedback and true interactions with customers.
Having this work experience makes me understand money is hard to earn for some of us.
We have to deal with own emotions constantly as you deal with different customers (especially nasty ones).
Yet, some of the customers who are lovable and willing to communicate can lighten our mood and believe that not all people are too proud of themselves until they view us as transparent objects.
AGENCY
I have been working for few agency that takes up project from clients (product company) and they are to ones who train us to for product promotions/ selling.
There are some rules and regulations that we have to abide by:
punctuality (work,sending report,reporting out of stock issues), grooming, product knowledge, aggressiveness (something they always want us to do),do's and don'ts during work (no handphone pressing, no eating, drink professionally, no wandering around, stand straight, no lying on rack, no chatting, stand with smiles, do not stand still, approach etc. )
You must always be alert and make sure you do not do something that makes them deduct your salary/ getting complaints from numerous parties.
After receiving a project, we have to attend training (normally last for 2-6 hours) to gain sufficient product knowledge/ products benefits.
They are the superiors that you should report to, sending them all the sales report before 12am every night after work, telling all the problems you are facing, also to evaluate your performance.
Delay in sending report - PENALTY!
Late to work - PENALTY!
Delay in handing back uniform and stuffs - DELAY IN ISSUANCE OF SALARY!!
etc.....
Of course, each company has their own rules, without rules, everything will not be systematic and on time.
Therefore, you must have strong self discipline and sense of responsibility when you've decided to take up part time promoter jobs.
CLIENTS
Relationship between you and client company is :
Client > Agency > YOU
Therefore, what client says, agency follow, what agency says, you follow.
If clients found that you have not performed well, they may fire or make complaints on you.
The agency have always told us, there are many "spys" out there trying to see how we perform our job, clients may mask themselves as mysterious shoppers,trying to test our ability to explain and sell.
This makes us feel uneasy and afraid that we have not performed well, every minute, every second.
We are afraid that someone may be watching us from far, it is even more scarier than someone evaluating to us face to face.

The unknown is often the scariest!
I'm not sure about others but I often feel uptight and anxious that someone will come by suddenly evaluating your performance without you knowing.
However, when you put yourself in clients shoe, you may agree that they want to make sure that what they have been paying for people to promote their product is worth the money and doing their job with dedication.
PEERS
I perceive this term as those people who are working in the same environment with you.
They may be or may not be from the same agency with you, they may work for the competing brand.
There was one time that I worked in Mid Valley KL, promoting a well known beauty product in a drugstore.
The products I was promoting are not easy ones to sell.
Imagine this, a drugstore, with numerous beauty product brands placed next to each other, all with different but similar functions, competitive pricing, competitive marketing strategies, almost all the brands have got promoters doing their job.
If you are a new comer, some of the promoters may look at you with hatred, saying " another competitor" in their heart, especially when both of you are working for similar products but different brand.
Of course, not all promoters are as bad as I describe, some are friendly and willing to teach you things despite the barrier.
One day, when I was holding my product, approaching a customer near me, and started to introduce and explain the benefits of the product.....
the customer listened and walked by after saying thank you.
Suddenly, an auntie promoter approached me and said that :" how can you do this?"
I answered back in uncertainty : "why?"
She claimed that I was wrong as she already served the customer before hand, and I attempted to influence her customer.
From that incident, I realized that the sales environment is like a safari.
There are many animals competing with each other in order to live, we shall not invade other's territory and not to approach anyone who have passed by other's territory.
Once you do that, the other party may think of you who spoiled their effort and you may already made an enemy.

相信?
如果连你自己都不相信自己,凭什么要别人相信你?
今天,因为某人的一个问题,我从他的眼神里,看到了质疑和否定。
他的眼神,似乎在告诉我,他否定我那方面的能力。
我真的那么不棒吗?
这是我踏入象牙塔的第三年,
毕业在际,
大家都纷纷担心自己未来的去向。
感觉上,大家都已经为明年的社会实习有了一些打算。
我感觉到。好彷徨。
我也祈望我也会有个好前程。
会的,真的。
昨天,

Count your blessings
23 yrs old 2012.
不知不觉,我已经是23岁的女孩了。

不知为何,人越长大,越不期待生日的到来。
以前的我,认为20几岁已经是个大人。
然而,我看现在的我,心里还是个小孩。
我把fb 里的birthday notification删了,
因为我想真心谢谢

blog开张了
到台湾已经1个月了。。。
时间过得真快呀。。。
回想当初要透过AIESEC 来做internship的初衷。。
Hmm.. 其实没有想太多。。
只是想从熟悉的环境走出来。。
发掘更多的自己。
Internship Job description is to assist in Learning of English language and school library, cultural understanding.
可是哦我不需要正正式式地替孩子们上课,
所以这几个星期内,
我也没想其它老师们那么忙碌,
也没有很明确的目的地,
有活动就参加,有英语课就一起上,管阅览室的老师有空档就和他一起编书,贴标签.
Rachel 老师是一位有经验的老师.
上英语课时,她总是有很多梗+小游戏让小朋友玩,我就在旁协助较弱的小朋友.
高年级上课时(特别是Standard 6) ,他们都比较难以接近,
教他的时候也不大会理你&不太热情.
如果语气重一点可能他们会不喜欢.(叛逆期-我也曾经有过,不爱人家管)
只有3-6年级的小朋友才上英语课,
而且只有两天(monday and thursday)
那其余的时间就和小朋友聊聊天...
在办公室,对照时间表,看有什么事情可以帮得上忙..
听说在我之前,校长也handle过一位加拿大籍的马来西亚华侨。
Elaine,还获得好评呢!
我有压力哦。。
都尽量用英语和大家交谈,
也不想校方觉得我在白吃白住而没有贡献呐。。
